Owner Profile

Laura Stephens has been practicing public accounting since 1980. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Math in 1977 and a Bachelor of Business in Accounting in 1980.

She started her career working for Touche Ross (now Deloitte Touche). Later she was a partner in a local downtown firm and then became the Austin partner in a statewide firm before starting her own practice.

Laura has over 25 years of experience working with a variety of businesses. She has conducted workshops for the Small Business Administration, Round Rock Hospital, Brackenridge Hospital and Central Texas Medical Foundation. She is a member of the Texas and local chapters of CPA’s, the Westlake Chamber of Commerce and Physician’s Viewpoint Network. She has been the treasurer of the Westlake Chamber for six years and was given Member of the Year award for 2002.

She is married to Jeff Singleton who is a project manager with the Lower Colorado River Authority. Laura has two children - son, Carl and daughter, Arin.
